Massage Therapy
What is Massage Therapy?
We offer three types of massage
therapy: therapeutic, relaxation and Active Release Therapy.
Therapeutic Massage
A deeper massage using Swedish
techniques with oil that focuses on releasing tension, increasing circulation
and promoting tissue mobility.
Relaxation
Massage
Massage using Swedish
techniques with oils to promote relaxation; reducing your stress, aches and
pain, thus enhancing your vitality and good health.
Active Release Therapy
Active
Release Therapy is a highly successful treatment not only for athletes, but for
anyone who leads an active life, sits at a computer all day, or enjoys
gardening. Many daily activities cause repetitive stress and the formation of
scar tissue, which hinders the movement and function of soft tissues.
Repetitive strain creates
symptoms of pain, stiffness, decreased range of motion, numbness and weakness.
Active Release
Techniques Soft Tissue Management System (A.R.T.®) is the diagnosis and
treatment of soft tissue injuries, which are a result of repetitive stress or
trauma such as whiplash. ART heals injuries
by locating scar tissue and applying tension to the scar tissue while
lengthening muscles, tendons and ligaments, returning tissues to their correct
tension, texture, movement and function thus eliminating symptoms.
